Hazlemere Embark On Window Refurbishment At Local Council Offices

We love to stretch ourselves at Hazlemere Commercial windows and doors and take on a challenge so we were therefore delighted when appointed to replace all existing windows at Buckinghamshire County Council’s 15-storey high New County offices in Aylesbury.

Due to the extensiveness and complexity of the project, we decided early on that we would commence replacing the current single glazed aluminium frames with brand new double glazed units in two stages.

The first stage of that process has been concluded and involved the substituting of all windows at the office’s two-storey podium. Stage two is currently underway and due for completion by mid-February and will entail our team of fitters removing the rest of the old windows still present in the building’s 12-storey tower.

The work will progress concurrently with the concrete repairs and roof renewal also taking place at the site to ensure minimum disruption for the council’s employees.

For ease of maintenance, vertical sliders with an inward tilt have been installed. Buckinghamshire County Council can also expect a very noticeable drop of around 15% in energy costs as a consequence of the integration of thermally efficient windows.
