Flush Windows
This beautiful new design gives the exterior a flush appearance, so it sits flush with the face of the window, rather than standing proud.

Want to know more about our Replacement Windows?
When you’re searching for your perfect windows it’s natural to have questions, there’s a lot to consider to make sure you get the right glazing for your property. We’ve answered some of the most common window questions we hear below, if you can’t find the information you’re looking for please don’t hesitate to contact our team.
Which replacement windows should you choose?
The house you live in, where it’s located, any practical essentials, and what you like, will all influence your choice of windows.
This could be the only time in your life that you buy new windows, so you want window replacements that satisfy you in every way and cater for everything you need them to.
Casement windows are rightfully rated as a classic design and are opened outwards as they are side hinged, which makes for uncomplicated cleaning.
The sleekest windows are undoubtedly flush windows, with their minimalist aesthetic offering wonderfully slim sightlines.
For flexible ventilation, a tilt and turn window is your friend and has a two-fold operating mechanism – either just tilt open the top of the sash or turn the handle to swing it open inwardly.
If you want more natural light to reach your interior than a flat window can deliver, the arched or outward projection of a bay or bow window will bring bags more of it inside.
Cottage windows summon thoughts of vintage windows with charming glazing bars, a traditional look that we have replicated with aplomb if you need windows to preserve long-established character.
A sliding sash window is a common window design at celebrated properties and provides you with the ability to vertically slide the window up and down.
Our slim frame windows offer incredibly slender sightlines to extend your outdoor view and entice more natural light into your indoor surroundings.
How to measure for replacement windows?
How to measure your windows ahead of a window replacement.
It’s always very helpful if you arrive at your first design appointment with some rough measurements of your windows and pass them over to your design expert.
Firstly, measure the height and width of the window frames, on the inside, at the top, middle, and bottom. For the most precise measurements, note down the smallest width and largest height measurements. We also need to know the depth of the window frames and what the diagonals are to guarantee squareness.
Knowing what your existing window style is, how it works, and whether there are any obstructions close to your windows that we ought to be aware of are useful insights too.
We don’t expect the measurements to be ‘bang on’ and it’s not necessary that they are as one of our installation teams will pay you a visit after the appointment to get the exact measurements in readiness for the window fitting.
What information should I bring to my window appointment?
We’d appreciate it if you could bring some things to your appointment.
Once you have received confirmation of your design appointment with Hazlemere, try and get some bits of information together before the meeting takes place so that the advisor you speak to can offer the most personalised service.
With your camera phone, take some photographs of your current windows and their closest surroundings so that we can begin to understand your home and what replacement windows will be needed.
Measurements of your windows are a very useful guide. They don’t need to be precise measurements, just enough for us to initially comprehend the window sizes you have. Following on from your design appointment, Hazlemere will send out a surveyor to your home to take the exact measurements we need.
We obviously want to know what your thoughts and ideas are too as you’re the driving force behind any replacement window project.
Maybe you see your new windows being in a certain colour or you want specific accessories for them. Outline these objectives and intentions so that Hazlemere addresses them all when producing the replacement window design so you get the perfect windows for your home.
How long do windows last?
Hazlemere’s window designs are built to last.

Should I choose UPVC or Aluminium for my new windows?
The choice between UPVC or aluminium window frames is dependent on your priorities.
Those who are drawn towards UPVC windows often like them because of their inexpensiveness, low maintenance, and excellent insulation. The modern UPVC window can achieve an impressively high energy rating, assuring you of a cosier home that won’t cost as much to heat. Just about every style of window can be fashioned into a UPVC design and the colour options for UPVC have never been as extensive or eclectic as they are today. A weatherproof material, UPVC needs only an occasional touch of maintenance.
Aluminium windows have a noticeably different aesthetic, being trimmer and containing more glass as a consequence. Amazingly sturdy, they won’t corrode as they get older and possess sufficient strength to comfortably sit within larger window openings.
If you need to keep costs down and want windows with impressive insulation, UPVC windows are just what you’re looking for. But if willing to pay more and looking for windows at the height of contemporary fashion, aluminium windows are a ready-made alternative.
What are the signs my windows need to be replaced?
Certain signs will tell you that it’s time to replace your old windows.
Windows don’t last forever, and they indicate that they’re coming to the end of their lifecycle in several forms. Be alert to the signs of your windows needing a replacement and do something about it when you incur any problems.
A window finish that has eroded or windows with visible wear and tear can deplete the appearance of a property – you often see this at homes with original timber windows. New UPVC or aluminium windows will reinstate any lost kerb appeal and are age-resistant, so you don’t need to commit to regular upkeep to sustain their condition or fine looks.
Noticing draughts in your house? It will be your windows (and maybe some of your doors) to blame as they have either developed unwanted gaps in their frames and/or haven’t been specified with an energy efficient glass.
Your windows may have warped if they have begun to stick when you open and close them – once warped, they won’t shrink to their normal size again and better-fitting windows are necessary.
