My first impressions as a trainee employee

As a new trainee employee at any new company its important to feel comfortable and safe in the new environment you are entering. Upon my arrival at Hazlemere Windows, as a trainee, I quickly settled because of the friendly tone of the employees that were there to greet me, which quickly made me feel comfortable and part of the team.

I was firstly impressed by the showroom from first sight due to its size and range of products on show, but also because of its organised look and easy access. I was given a tour of Hazlemere’s High Wycombe showroom on my first day which gave me a greater understanding of the products that Hazlemere has to offer from doors, windows, conservatories and porches.

It didn’t take me long to pick up on the layout of the building, and I quickly knew my way around, but even when I didn’t know, help was at hand! The other employees helped me with anything I needed and answered my questions in such simple ways for my understanding-even if they merited a complex answer.

The workplace is fairly busy on day to day basis so I was never short of work and I always had something to do giving me a range of different jobs to try which would in the end help with my overall development at the business as a trainee employee. Although the environment is busy people around me still remained helpful and tried to offer help where it was possible as well as remaining professional to the job at hand.
