New slimline “A” rated aluminium sliding patio door

Independent double glazing manufacturers and installers Hazlemere Windows has launched the Crown 98 Aluminium Sliding Patio Door, which replaces the now obsolete Monarch Monaframe sliding patio door. The new thermally efficient and current Building Regulations compliant 98 design has the benefit of being a slimmer outer frame of 98mm front to back as the name suggests enabling the door to be fitted in situations where internal finishes would otherwise have to be disturbed.

In addition this thermally broken new generation aluminium sliding patio door allows the manufacture of large fixed light areas as part of the door as the glazing is fitted directly into the outer frame, minimising framing sight lines and giving maximum vision area. Exceptional thermal performances can be achieved down to 1.4 W/M2K U-value, and this aluminium sliding door system can achieve an “A” energy rating.

The new bespoke slim Crown aluminium sliding patio door system offers many features and benefits particularly the fact it can have large doors up to 2500mm high with a leaf width up to 1615mm. The unique design utilises multi chamber aluminium profiles for strength in tall door situations.

For peace of mind the product has a six point stainless steel hook lock, multi-locking and the latest high security cylinders as standard, plus is bead glazed for ease of glass unit replacement using internal beading.

Setting a new standard in superior door thermal performance Crown doors aluminium sliding doors can achieve a 1.4 W/m2K U-value, which is exceptional in its class and easily surpasses Building Regulations Part L 2010 requirements.

Another new feature that was not offered by the previously popular Monaframe sliding door is dual colour, thanks to the use of polyamide thermal break technology. Both the internal and external frame is available in any RAL colour. The Crown aluminium sliding door has stainless Steel track and wheels giving easy glide operation.

Trickle vents can be incorporated in over frame sections or bespoke through frame solutions. The product takes a 28mm thick double glazed sealed unit, delivering traditional design but with slim sight lines. With any overall front to back section of 98mm, exceptional thermal efficiency, the strength of aluminium, and more glass and light than its predecessor, the new double glazed bespoke Crown sliding patio doors also offers much thinner sight lines and better internal and external views.
