Now In 35th Year Of Business
Given Hazlemere Windows Company Ltd was first established in back April 1985, in April 2020 it will have been successively been in business for 35 years. April 2019 therefore is the start of the company’s 35th year of continuous trading having significantly grown over the last four decades to become a major employer in South Buckinghamshire.
Today Hazlemere Windows, a family owned and run company, operates out of a 56,000 square foot Head Office and Factory premises it owns in Wellington Road on Cressex Business Park in High Wycombe, whilst also owning other commercial premises within the town that it rents out. The business has a showroom and hub in Welwyn Garden City at Unit 10 Mundells Industrial Centre, and a showroom at its Head Offices in High Wycombe.
The reasons Hazlemere Window Company Ltd is able to be so successful, so consistently for such a long sustained period, is down to a whole series of factors, but these include the stability afforded by its sole owners, the Braham family. Other factors for its firm foundation are the fact that much of their premises that they own are unencumbered, their 2 impressive showrooms in Herts and Bucks, the longevity of their loyal staff, the loyalty of their clients, continual investment in the latest technologically advanced CNC machinery, progressive management and product development.
When George Braham started the business back in 1985 with his 2 eldest sons Ian Braham and Stuart Braham, no one would have expected the steady growth that has ensued ever since then, with many other family members still working within the company today, including current Chairman. Stuart Braham’s daughter Rachel Braham-Hill as Managing Director, his youngest daughter Laura Braham as Human Resources Manager, his son in law Chris Hill as a surveyor, his Cousin Michael Tuppenney as Installation Manager, and many other highly experienced “family” members of staff (most of which are nowadays not relatives) who have come and stayed, to collectively make the business what is is today. Stuarts youngest brother Alan worked in the business for over 20 years, first on the factory floor and latter in the sales department before getting married and moving to Yorkshire. His elder brother Ian also worked in the sales department for over 20 years before retiring to South Wales. There are many father and son relationships within this family business, including Director Tony Beale, whose two sons Billy and Tommy both work at Head Office, whilst Installation Manager Alan Layton’s son Dan is one of the many experienced fitters and Michael Tuppenney’s son Luke works on the factory floor assembling aluminium windows for both domestic homes and commercial premises. Rachel and Laura Braham’s mum, Sonia the Customer Services Manager has been working in the business for over 25 years, so it is true to say the underlying stability given by this rich heritage of family ownership is an enduring core strength of the firm. There are numerous other family connections too, in addition to employees recruited on merit from outside the immediate family, who also enjoy working in such a secure working environment.
Hazlemere Windows Directors are the first to acknowledge that Hazlemere Window Company Ltd has been successful due to its loyal customer base, without which the company would not be the leading independent double glazing manufacturer and installer in the Region it remains to this day.
