Our Surveyors
Within a couple of weeks your surveyor will be in touch to arrange their site visit to your home. We employ our own in-house surveyors and it is one of these experts that will visit to check all measurements and identify any issues that might need further thought.
Planning Permission
If you need planning permission and/or building regulations for your new living space and you have the approvals in place then you just need to forward copies to us when you place your order. If like most of our projects we will be submitting on your behalf we will complete the paperwork and drawings following survey and should hear back from the planning department within 8 weeks. We obviously then get in touch with you as soon as we receive official confirmation.
Manufacture
Once the survey is completed and all permissions in place our purchasing and production teams will take over, making sure all of the products you need are scheduled for manufacture and your installation time allocated. Once their scheduling is complete they will contact you to discuss installation dates. The time we will be on site will depend on the size and specification of your new conservatory, orangery or extension but our team will be able to advise how long they expect the different aspects of the project to take.
Installation Day
Don’t forget you may have items that need removing or disconnecting before we arrive, usually things like alarm systems and cabling or overgrown foliage, a more comprehensive list is in the T&C’s you received with your contract.
The majority of our fitters have worked with us so long that even if they are not actual relatives they feel like our extended family, so we know they will treat you, your home and your neighbours with respect and they will tidy up after a job well done. They may need to use a bit of power and water, and the odd cup of tea on a cold day usually goes down well.
Pay On Installation
We don’t take a deposit* so our invoices for stage payments will be issued as agreed on your contract. You don’t have to make the final payment until practical completion so you will be safe in the knowledge that you are not handing over any money until you see the project progressing. *If you have decided to (part) fund with a pre-arranged finance agreement the payment schedule along with your deposit amount will be detailed on your contract and the installation team will ask you to sign the Satisfaction Note for the Finance Company on watertight completion.
